The One-Stop Place For A Beautiful Tropical Vacation
Located on the rugged east coast of Barbados, the Round House is a majestic 19th-century colonial building overlooking the famous Soup Bowl break (surf spot gold for legends like Kelly Slater). It houses a historic inn with four architecturally unique rooms, a bustling Caribbean restaurant, and unparalleled views of a stretch of beach studded with natural tidal pools. The very basic, easy-going atmosphere makes this place ideal for relaxing, recharging (and surfing). With its rich history, great food and friendly people, the Round House is a locals' favourite, traveler's dream, and a must-visit for anyone looking for an island vacation.
This wave is Barbados's surfing claim to fame. Surfers from all over the world travel to this out of the way island for a good session at Soup Bowl. The reefy break can get pretty crowded when the conditions are at their best - an incoming medium tide with a North swell. Though, if you paddle out during smaller waves you can find sum fun, peaky surf almost all to yourself. Round House is the only hotel located right on Bathsheba beach, directly above the beach, which makes it the perfect place for a surfing vacation.

For an ocean-side lunch spot, head to the Atlantis Hotel & Restaurant where you can delight in an authentic West Indian curry or a classic fish and ships prepared using local, fresh ingredients.
The four guest rooms (built entirely out of natural coral block) are all housed under the original domed top, giving each room its own individual physical shape and feel. From skylights and deep set windows to staircases decorated with groovy wall art - it is the architectural details that give this house its magnificent character and charm.
